Joel Chiyoki Suzuki, 73, of San Diego, California passed away March 22, 2024. He was born in Alameda County (Oakland), California on June 13, 1950 to Yoneo Suzuki and Olive Y. Takahashi.

As Joel's many trivia friends can attest, Joel was an excellent NTN and Buzztime Trivia player and good friend. Joel's moniker, LILJOL, appeared on NTN/Buzztime score boards any time he was playing -- which was very very often. He played alone and as a member of many teams throughout North America. Joel's second handle, F CUBS, was a good-natured reverse salute to the Chicago Cubs. Similarly, Joel used handles that poked fun at other Buzztime players and other sports teams. Occasionally, other Buzztime players created handles that poked fun at Joel.

Joel was a retired civilian employee of the Navy in San Diego.
